As the owner of HIYA Events, and somebody who has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years, I must say that the last weekend’s Ryanair Santa Flights at Shannon Airport left me lost for words on occasions. The pure enthusiasm and excitement shown by Shannon Airport’s staff, Ryanair’s staff and my crew at HIYA Events was simply amazing.
I am certain that very single passenger that passed through the airport had an amazing day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people so excited for the duration of an event. From 7:30am to 7:30pm each and every person involved seemed to have endless energy and all with the same mission, to make this day was as memorable as possible for every passenger who were lucky enough to get tickets for this great Santa experience.
There are some great Santa visitor attractions both locally and nationally and great credit is due to lots of them as they do a really good job. However, I think Shannon Airport, Ryanair and all of my crew at HIYA have raised the bar for the ultimate Christmas experience. I’m delighted to be part of it and I would like to thank Shannon Airport and Ryanair for having us on board. We met some amazing people over the weekend, including some amazing boys and girls, who enjoyed the whole experience.
For those lucky enough to get tickets this year, I am sure you all enjoyed it. For those who didn’t get tickets, let’s hope it happens again next year and if so, I wish you lots of luck getting one of these valuable seats.

Was there on Sunday lunchtime, my gang had an absolute ball. The entertainment you provided James was fantastic, it really got all the kids and adults alike into the festive spirit. A massive thanks to Ryanair and your staff.
